A valuable ring worth €750,000 ($643,000) that went missing at the Ritz hotel in Paris has been found inside a vacuum cleaner. The owner, a Malaysian businesswoman who was staying at the hotel, filed a police complaint after suspecting that an employee had stolen it. Fortunately, Ritz security guards discovered the ring among the dust in a vacuum bag on Sunday. The guest, who had traveled to London on Friday, will now return to Paris to retrieve her ring. The hotel has offered her three additional nights to compensate for the inconvenience, although she may not accept the offer. The Ritz expressed its gratitude to the security guards and praised the staff's dedication and professionalism. According to the businesswoman, she had left the ring on a table in her hotel room while she went shopping in the city. When she returned, the ring was nowhere to be found. The police are currently safeguarding the ring until the woman can retrieve it. This is not the first incident of missing jewelry at the Ritz. In 2018, armed individuals stole around €4 million ($3.5 million) worth of merchandise from a jewelry shop located in the hotel. Additionally, a member of the unnamed Saudi royal family reported the theft of hundreds of thousands of pounds' worth of jewelry from her hotel room suite that same year.
