Anna Cardwell Honors Late Sister, Age 29, in Heartfelt Tribute

Anna Cardwell, the sister of reality TV star Honey Boo Boo, has passed away at the age of 29. Cardwell had been battling adrenal cancer since January 2023. Honey Boo Boo, whose real name is Alana Thompson, took to Instagram to share the news and expressed her grief, stating that her sister was in pain but now at peace. The family first gained fame on the child beauty pageant show Toddlers & Tiaras before having their own show called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Honey Boo Boo described her heart as being completely broken and praised her sister for her strength and resilience. She also mentioned how she wished her sister could have seen her graduate college but knows that she will continue to support her from heaven. Their mother, June Shannon, also posted about Cardwell's passing and acknowledged her daughter's courageous fight against cancer. In May, it was revealed that Cardwell's cancer had reached stage four. The family's reality show faced criticism for potential child exploitation and was eventually canceled due to reports that Honey Boo Boo's mother was in a relationship with a registered sex offender. Despite this setback, the family continued to appear on other reality TV shows such as Marriage Boot Camp and The Masked Singer.
