The United States has decided to temporarily suspend the operation of all Osprey helicopters following a recent crash off the coast of Japan. The crash resulted in the unfortunate deaths of eight crew members, and it has been determined that the accident occurred due to a malfunction. The Air Force and Navy have decided to ground the fleet as a precautionary measure while the investigation into the incident continues. It is important to note that not all of the bodies of the servicemembers have been retrieved yet. In response to the crash, Japan has also grounded its own fleet of 14 Ospreys. As this is an ongoing situation, further updates will be provided as necessary.
