The village of Hroza in Ukraine has been struck by a missile attack, resulting in the death of 51 people. The strike occurred during a wake for a local resident, with individuals from every household present, according to Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. The Ukrainian defense ministry has accused Russia of being responsible for the attack, asserting that there were no military targets in the area. However, Russia has not directly commented on the incident. Russian state news agency Ria Novosti reported that the Russian military had conducted 20 airstrikes and artillery strikes in the Kupyansk district, which includes Hroza village. Local reports indicate that the missile hit a cafe and grocery store where people attending the funeral were gathered. Tragically, an eight-year-old boy was among those who lost their lives. Ukrainian security analyst and journalist Maria Avdeeva speculated that someone may have informed the Russian military about the gathering. The attack has drawn condemnation from Ukrainian and international leaders, with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak referring to it as a display of the depths of depravity of the Russian forces. The incident occurred amid growing debates in the US House of Representatives regarding funding for Ukraine, and the Kupyansk district has been a frontline area in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine since last year's invasion.
