Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert film has already achieved blockbuster success at the box office, surpassing $100 million in global advance ticket sales, according to distributor AMC. The demand for the film has been extraordinary since its announcement, with the movie breaking AMC's record for highest one-day sales in less than 24 hours. Swift's ongoing global tour is projected to become the largest in history, and stadium ticket sales could potentially reach $1.4 billion, surpassing Elton John's farewell tour record. The film of the Eras tour is set to release in over 100 countries next week, and analysts predict an additional $100 million in box office revenue for the North American opening weekend. This year, five films have already surpassed $100 million in their North American debut, including Barbie, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. AMC is also distributing Beyonce's Renaissance tour movie, scheduled for release in December. In 2020, Taylor Swift made history by having songs in each position of the top 10 US singles chart, overtaking Drake's previous record. She also became the first female artist on Spotify to attain 100 million monthly listeners. Swift's re-recording project continues, with the release of her next re-recorded album, 1989 (Taylor's Version), later this month, enabling her to gain ownership of the original recordings.
