Turkey retaliates against Kurdish insurgents following bombing in Ankara

Turkey has launched several air strikes on Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq following a suicide bombing in Ankara. The interior ministry in Ankara confirmed that 20 targets were destroyed and numerous militants from the banned PKK rebel group were "neutralised". The PKK claimed responsibility for the bombing, stating that a member of their affiliated group carried out the attack. Police killed a second attacker and two officers were injured.
