Tiffany Haddish has revealed that she plans to seek help following her arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. The comedian and actress was detained by Beverly Hills police after she was found slumped in her vehicle with the engine running. When speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 43-year-old expressed remorse and stated that she intends to find assistance in order to learn about balance and boundaries. Tiffany attributed the incident to falling asleep while her Tesla car was in self-park mode, causing it to block part of the street. She also thanked the police for their handling of the situation. A video from TMZ shows Tiffany being escorted into a police car in handcuffs. Prior to her arrest, she had participated in a community Thanksgiving feast in Los Angeles. The article notes that Tiffany has been arrested for driving under the influence before, in Peachtree City, Georgia, in 2022. Tiffany rose to prominence with her role in the 2017 comedy film Girls Trip, alongside Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah. She has since garnered accolades such as an Emmy for her appearance on Saturday Night Live in 2018 and a Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2021 for her special Black Mitzvah.
