According to a monitoring group, a drone strike at a military academy in Homs, Syria, resulted in the deaths of at least 60 soldiers and civilians, with many more injured. The army confirmed that there were "numerous martyrs" and stated that the attack happened during a graduation ceremony attended by the families of the cadets. While the army attributed the attack to "terrorist groups," they did not provide any further details. No opposition groups immediately claimed responsibility for the strike. However, experts speculate that the drones were launched from areas controlled by rebels and jihadists in the north-west of Homs. Subsequently, responders reported that civilians in opposition-held cities, towns, and villages in the province of Idlib also lost their lives due to intensive government artillery and missile attacks.
