Stephen Fry has revealed that he is finally ready to return to work after a serious fall from a stage three months ago. The actor and broadcaster spoke about his recovery in an interview with Claudia Winkleman on BBC Radio 2. Fry suffered multiple injuries, including a broken leg, pelvis, and ribs, but considers himself lucky to have avoided spinal and skull injuries. Despite the accident, he will be hosting a UK version of the quiz show Jeopardy! Fry shared his excitement about the new show and mentioned that he recently travelled to Zurich without needing a walking stick for the first time since the fall. He credited his recovery to constant physiotherapy, although he initially hesitated to take Oxycontin due to its addictive nature. Fry also discussed feeling self-conscious while walking without a cane near his home in London. He expressed his gratitude towards the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich for their exceptional care. Fry also shared how he landed the job as the host of Jeopardy! by casually mentioning his love for the show to his American agent. He expressed his enthusiasm for the format of the show and considers it a privilege to be a part of it. Jeopardy! has been a popular quiz show in the US since the 1960s, and it differs from other shows in that contestants are given answers and must form the corresponding questions.
