Netflix has released the first official pictures of its upcoming film, Scoop, which recreates scenes from the 2019 interview between Prince Andrew and Emily Maitlis on Newsnight. The photographs depict Rufus Sewell as the duke and Gillian Anderson as Maitlis. The interview, described as a "car crash," saw Prince Andrew discuss his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The movie will dramatize how the BBC Two program secured the interview and the behind-the-scenes drama. Sewell spent three hours in make-up to become Prince Andrew, while Anderson's portrayal of Maitlis is described as "astonishing." The film will be available to stream on Netflix in the spring.
