Kylie Minogue has won her second Grammy Award as the music industry's biggest night kicks off in Los Angeles. The star was awarded Best Pop Dance Recording for her viral hit "Padam Padam," which became a global sensation last year. Other early winners at the "premiere ceremony" include Billie Eilish, David Bowie, and The Beatles. Eilish won an award for her song "What Was I Made For?" from the Barbie soundtrack, expressing her disbelief at the recognition. Kylie was not present at the Crypto.com Arena ceremony, but her co-writer Peter Rycroft accepted the award on her behalf, thanking her for believing in the record. This Grammy win comes 20 years after Kylie's first Grammy for Best Dance Recording. In a video she posted on social media, Kylie can be seen ecstatically celebrating the news in her dressing room. R&B singer SZA leads the nominations with a total of nine, winning the first award of the night for Best Pop Dup Performance. SZA is also in the running for Album, Record, and Song of the Year in a category dominated by female nominees. The Barbie soundtrack, which received 11 nominations, has already won the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. Additionally, the David Bowie documentary "Moonage Daydream" won Best Musical Film, while country star Jason Isbell took home the award for Best American Roots Song with "Cast Iron Skillet," a powerful narrative about a family affected by racism. Isbell emphasized the importance of honest songwriting and urged new songwriters to tell their truth.
