Three relatives suspected of being involved in the death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif are returning from Pakistan to the UK. Sara's father, Urfan Sharif, his wife Beinash Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik are expected to arrive later. Surrey Police are eager to speak with them as they were living with Sara before her death and left the UK the day before her body was discovered. A post-mortem examination revealed that Sara had suffered multiple and extensive injuries. The trio booked a flight to London Gatwick, with a layover in Dubai. They had initially flown from an airport in Sialkot, Punjab Province. It has not been confirmed whether they boarded the flight in Dubai. Pakistani police confirmed that the three individuals had travelled voluntarily. Sara's five siblings, all aged between one and 13, who accompanied the adults to Pakistan, are currently in a government care facility in the country. Sara's body was found at her home in Woking on August 10th. She had been living with her father, stepmother, uncle, and siblings at the property. On August 9th, the three adults had traveled from the UK to Pakistan, prompting an international search via Interpol. Pakistani authorities assisted in locating them on behalf of investigators in Surrey. In a video statement released last week, Mr. Sharif and Ms. Batool explained that they had gone into hiding in Pakistan due to fears of mistreatment or harm from the police. They also alleged that their family members had been harassed and expressed their willingness to cooperate with UK authorities. Mr. Sharif did not speak in the video, while Ms. Batool read from a notebook. This was the first time they had made public statements since Sara's death. Jhelum police chief Mehmood Bajwa refuted the allegations of harassment and torture, stating that if the family had concerns about the police, they had the option to seek protection through the courts.
