A Russian warship has been damaged in an attack by Ukraine in the Black Sea, according to Russia's Ministry of Defence. The incident occurred in the port of Feodosiya in Russian-occupied Crimea. The large landing ship Novocherkassk was reportedly struck by Ukrainian aircraft carrying guided missiles. The head of the Ukrainian Air Force claimed that their warplanes had destroyed the ship. One person was killed in the attack and six buildings were damaged. The port's transport operations, however, are reportedly functioning normally. Crimea is internationally recognized as part of Ukraine but has been under Russian control since it was seized and annexed in 2014. Further details on the incident are expected to be released soon.
