Prosthetic legs that were stolen from a former Royal Marine's car in west London have been found. The limbs were taken from Mark Ormrod's vehicle which was parked at a Premier Inn in Chiswick. After posting about the incident on social media, a woman contacted him to inform him that she had discovered the legs in an alleyway. Mr Ormrod lost his legs and right arm in Afghanistan in 2007 due to an explosive device. He has since become a gold medal-winning Invictus Games athlete and was awarded an MBE for his services to the Royal Marines and veterans. Security cameras outside the hotel failed to capture the theft as another vehicle obstructed their view. Mr Ormrod shared his frustration about the crime on social media, stating that the thieves not only stole his prosthetic legs but also other personal belongings. Fortunately, he later updated his followers to announce that he had recovered all his belongings, including the stolen legs. In his initial post, Mr Ormrod expressed his sadness at the insensitivity of the thieves, as the stolen equipment is crucial for someone to live independently.
