Celine Dion's Music Wars Plague New Zealand Town

Residents of Porirua, a town in New Zealand, have launched a petition to stop the late-night siren battles that involve people blasting out Celine Dion's music from their cars. These battles have become a way for participants to express themselves by playing music from their sirens at the loudest volume. The battles typically take place in industrial areas and involve groups of people with cars fitted with seven to ten sirens. However, the noise has become disruptive to the community, leading to the petition to end these battles. While some participants argue that they just want a safe space to enjoy their hobby, many residents are tired of the noise and want their right to a good night's sleep respected. The mayor of Porirua is also fed up with the battles and wants participants to find areas where they won't disturb others. The battles have previously been limited to industrial areas and ended by 10pm, but they have made a return to the town.
