A 42-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the bodies of three children were discovered in a Bristol house. The authorities were alerted to the incident when they received a call about a concern for welfare at the residence in Blaise Walk, Sea Mills. Sadly, the young children were pronounced dead at the scene. The woman is currently in police custody at a hospital. The Independent Office for Police Conduct has been informed due to previous contact with the police. Ch Insp Vicks Hayward-Melen expressed her condolences to the loved ones of the children and ensured that they would receive support through the family liaison unit. It is believed that this is an isolated incident and there is no further danger to the wider community. The local area can expect an increased police presence in the coming days. Bristol North West MP Darren Jones and the city's mayor, Marvin Rees, shared their sorrow over the tragedy and pledged to provide support to those affected.
