Matt LeBlanc has paid a heartfelt tribute to his late Friends co-star, Matthew Perry. LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani alongside Perry's Chandler Bing on the hit TV sitcom, took to Instagram for the first time since Perry's passing to express his grief. Perry, 54, was found dead at his Los Angeles home last month, causing an outpouring of sorrow from fans worldwide. Sharing photos of himself and Perry on set, LeBlanc described their time together as some of the best moments of his life. He spoke of the honor it was to have Perry as a friend and vowed to always remember and cherish him. LeBlanc also encouraged Perry to "spread his wings and fly" now that he is finally free. While LeBlanc is the first Friends star to comment individually on Perry's death, the entire cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer, released a joint statement mourning the loss of their friend and celebrating his wit, kindness, and generosity. Perry’s funeral has already taken place, attended by his Friends co-stars. The cause of his death is still being investigated, and a foundation has been established in his name to continue his legacy of helping others fighting addiction, a cause close to his heart due to his own struggles with alcohol and drugs.
