US Media Reports: Matthew Perry Laid to Rest in a Private Ceremony

According to reports from the US media, actor Matthew Perry has been laid to rest at a Los Angeles cemetery after a private funeral. All of his co-stars from the popular sitcom Friends attended the service, along with his family. The funeral was held at Forest Lawn cemetery, located near Warner Bros Studios, and lasted for about two hours. Perry was found dead at his home in LA last weekend at the age of 54, though the cause of death has not been confirmed. Friends fans and celebrities have expressed their grief over his passing. Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where the service took place, is the final resting place for several Hollywood stars. Photos from outside the funeral show Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, along with Perry's parents and stepfather. Approximately 20 people dressed in black attended the funeral. Perry had openly discussed his struggles with addiction in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which was published last year. On the same day as his funeral, a foundation was launched in Perry's name to support those battling addiction. Perry had expressed his wish for helping others to be his primary legacy. Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman revealed that she spoke to Perry a couple of weeks before his death, mentioning that he seemed happy and in a good place.
