Israeli forces carry out raid on West Bank hospital and fatally shoot three Palestinian militants

Three militants were killed by Israeli forces inside a hospital in Jenin, according to CCTV footage. The footage showed members of an undercover unit disguised as medics and civilians entering the hospital with raised rifles. The Israeli military claims that these militants were hiding in the hospital and that one of them was planning an attack. The Palestinian Authority's ministry of health accused Israel of carrying out a "new massacre inside hospitals." Hamas, an armed Palestinian group engaged in a conflict with Israel, stated that the Israeli forces "executed three fighters," including one of their own members. Another armed group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, claimed that two of the deceased were their members, with one of them receiving treatment at the hospital. The incidents occurred during a period of heightened tension in the West Bank since October 7th, when attacks from Palestinians against Israelis increased. Israeli forces have killed 357 Palestinians, including militants, civilians, and attackers, while Israeli settlers have killed eight, according to the United Nations. Simultaneously, Palestinians have killed ten Israelis in both the West Bank and Israel. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the Hamas suspect killed in the hospital had planned an attack inspired by the October 7th events. On that day, Hamas gunmen attacked Israel from Gaza, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people, mostly civilians. The invasion triggered Israel's military campaign in Gaza, with the declared intention of eliminating Hamas. The official Palestinian news agency in the West Bank, Wafa, referred to the incident as an "assassination." Sources inside the hospital claimed that around ten members of Israeli special forces, dressed in civilian clothing, went to the third floor where they killed the militants using silenced weapons. Additionally, it was revealed that one of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad members had been receiving treatment for an injury at the hospital since October 25th.
