Israel has issued an upgraded travel advisory for its citizens in India following a low-intensity explosion near its embassy in Delhi. The blast occurred in the capital's diplomatic enclave, but no injuries were reported. Authorities recovered shrapnel from the site and are currently investigating the incident. Israeli citizens have been advised to avoid crowded areas like malls, markets, and large-scale events. There is a possibility that the explosion was an attack, leading to concerns of further incidents. The country's National Security Headquarters also warned Israelis to stay vigilant, avoid displaying Israeli symbols in public, and refrain from posting trip details or photos on social media. In a previous warning, Israelis were urged to reconsider all travel abroad and avoid outward displays of Jewish identity due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Security measures have been increased around the Israeli embassy and other establishments in Delhi by Indian authorities. Notably, in 2021, an explosion occurred outside the Israeli embassy resulting in damaged cars, but no casualties were reported.
