Relatives of hostages held captive in Gaza have raised concerns about their deteriorating health. They claim to have received reliable information that several hostages are now in immediate danger. A group representing the families of the hostages sent a letter to Israel's war cabinet highlighting the urgency of the situation. Pressure has been mounting on Israeli officials to secure the release of the remaining 138 people still held by Hamas and other armed groups. In a meeting with Israel's leaders, some of the freed hostages described the dire conditions they experienced during captivity. The meeting became heated, with accusations that the government prioritized politics over the well-being of the hostages. Former hostages spoke of the elderly captives suffering from illnesses such as heart disease, kidney failure, and Parkinson's. The families requested urgent action from the Israeli government, emphasizing that every additional day in captivity further endangered the lives of the hostages. Despite the ongoing bombings in Gaza, the former hostages expressed fear that Israel may be responsible for their demise. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the heart-wrenching reports but stated that it was currently impossible to retrieve all the hostages at once. He assured the families that Israel's commitment to rescuing all the captives remained unwavering. The Israeli Defense Forces also reiterated their dedication to bringing the hostages home while simultaneously conducting operations against Hamas in Gaza.
