On Saturday 10 February, Lunar New Year began, and people from all over the world have been bidding farewell to the Year of the Rabbit and embracing the Year of the Dragon. Although Lunar New Year is traditionally observed in countries like China, South Korea, and Vietnam, it is also celebrated by diaspora communities in other parts of the world, including Europe and the United States. The festivities have been marked by vibrant displays of fireworks, music, fairs, lanterns, and traditional dragon and lion dances, which have filled the streets in various Asian nations. These jubilant celebrations typically span a duration of approximately 15 days.
