Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has rejected the ceasefire terms proposed by Hamas and instead expressed confidence in achieving "total victory" in Gaza within a few months. This comes after Hamas presented a series of demands in response to an Israel-backed ceasefire proposal. Netanyahu dismissed negotiations with the group, calling their terms "bizarre" and stating that they were not progressing. Talks between negotiators are still ongoing. Netanyahu emphasized that there is no alternative to a complete and final victory, asserting that if Hamas remains in Gaza, it is only a matter of time before another massacre occurs. A senior Hamas official, quoted by Reuters news agency, believes that Netanyahu's response to the ceasefire proposal indicates his intention to continue the conflict in the region. The official further mentioned that Hamas is prepared to handle any situation.
