Police successfully located a missing girl in New York state after utilizing fingerprints found on a ransom note. Nine-year-old Charlotte Sena disappeared while riding her bicycle, prompting a two-day search effort involving hundreds of people. Authorities discovered a ransom note at the family home, which contained the suspect's fingerprints. Utilizing their fingerprint database, police identified the suspect, who had a previous record related to a drink-driving incident from 1999. Additionally, mobile phone data and visitor records from a nearby park aided the investigation. The suspect was apprehended at his mother's property, and after some resistance, he was taken into custody. Governor Kathy Hochul revealed that Charlotte was found safe in a cabinet in the suspect's residence. The suspect, identified as Craig Nelson Ross Jr, is currently being questioned. Although Charlotte is in good health, she was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The search effort, involving 400 personnel from various law enforcement agencies, ended over a span of nearly 50 miles. The assistance of the FBI was also enlisted in this case.
