Lisa from the popular K-pop group Blackpink has landed a role in the upcoming third series of HBO's hit show, The White Lotus. The show, which follows entitled vacationers, is moving its setting to Thailand, Lisa's home country. Filming for the dark comedy will take place in Bangkok and on the islands of Phuket and Kho Samui. While Lisa's specific role has not yet been announced, she will be joined by other stars such as Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Dom Hetrakul, Tayme Thapthimthong, Scott Glenn, Julian Kostov, and Natasha Rothwell. Although this is Lisa's first major acting role, she previously appeared in a Thai drama as a child. Meanwhile, Blackpink recently renewed their agency contract as a group, ensuring their continued presence in the music industry. The quartet, formed in 2016, is currently the world's biggest K-pop girl group. They have a massive following on social media, with each member boasting over 70 million followers on Instagram and their official YouTube channel having more than 92 million subscribers. In addition to their music success, the group has also made waves in the fashion industry, representing top brands like Chanel and Dior, and headlining renowned music festivals like Coachella and BST Hyde Park. The new contract signed by Blackpink is considered one of the most lucrative in the music industry this year.
