According to authorities, a deputy village councillor in the western part of Ukraine caused a great disturbance at a council meeting by throwing grenades, resulting in 26 people being injured. The incident occurred on Friday at the village council headquarters in Keretsky, located in the Zakarpattia region. It remains unclear what motivated the attack, but six individuals have sustained severe injuries. The entire incident was streamed live on Facebook, capturing the moment the man entered the room during a heated discussion around 90 minutes into the meeting. After standing near a door for approximately half a minute, he proceeded to throw three grenades into the center of the room. Police reports state that "26 people were wounded, six of whom are in a grave condition," with medical personnel doing their utmost to resuscitate the perpetrator responsible for the attack. While many Ukrainians have access to weapons due to the ongoing conflict with Russia, there is currently no evidence to suggest a direct connection between the incident and the conflict itself.
