The UK government has announced its plans to provide support to Israel by sending surveillance aircraft and two Royal Navy ships to the eastern Mediterranean. The main purpose of this deployment is to track threats that could potentially destabilize the region, such as the illegal transfer of weapons to terrorist organizations. The assistance package also includes surveillance assets, P8 aircraft, and a company of marines. Chancellor Rishi Sunak emphasized that this aid is aimed at preventing any further escalation of the situation. In addition, a Royal Navy task group will be relocated to the area next week to assist with humanitarian efforts. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has expressed his determination to ensure that the distressing scenes witnessed in Israel do not occur again and emphasized the need for decisive action in this regard.
