Trump Appeals to the US Supreme Court for Immunity

Former President Donald Trump has made a request to the Supreme Court to halt a lower court's ruling that denies him presidential immunity from prosecution. This comes in relation to a case involving election interference, where Trump argued that he cannot be prosecuted for actions he undertook while serving as president. However, three judges from lower courts disagreed with his claim and determined that he can indeed face prosecution just like any other citizen. In anticipation of an appeal, they set a deadline for Trump to file his request for a stay by Monday.
