Dwayne Johnson plans to contact a gallery in Paris regarding a wax model of himself that was unveiled at the Grevin Museum. Fans noticed that the skin tone of the figure was inaccurate and The Rock shared a video from a comedian questioning if the wax artist had actually researched his appearance. The actor called on the museum to update the wax figure with the correct skin color. He stated on Instagram that he will have his team reach out to the museum and also jokingly mentioned having a drink with his wax figure when he visits Paris. The Rock was born in California to a black father and Samoan mother, and his father, Rocky Johnson, was a wrestler as well. The museum explained that the artist relied on photos and videos to create the sculpture, and had to redo the model's eyes multiple times to avoid making the face too dark. The Grevin Museum acknowledged the error in a statement to Deadline, promising to rectify the situation promptly. Neither the museum nor The Rock's representatives have responded to BBC Newsbeat's request for comment.
