Severe tornadoes wreak havoc in Tennessee, leaving a minimum of six lives lost

A series of tornadoes and severe storms wreaked havoc in Tennessee, resulting in the deaths of at least six people. The extreme weather caused buildings to be destroyed and left communities in darkness due to power outages. Three fatalities were reported in a northern suburb of Nashville, while two adults and a child were killed in the city of Clarksville. The mayor of Clarksville, Joe Pitts, declared a state of emergency and imposed a 9pm curfew in response to the situation. In addition to the deaths, 23 individuals in the surrounding area have been hospitalized. Nearly 60,000 people were left without power as a result of the storms. Social media videos showcased the aftermath, illustrating overturned cars, uprooted trees, and damaged structures. The National Weather Service had issued numerous tornado warnings throughout the day in Tennessee.
