Two contestants on Netflix's spin-off show "Squid Game: The Challenge" are seeking compensation for injuries, according to their lawyers at Express Solicitors. The players allegedly suffered hypothermia and nerve damage while competing for a $4.56 million prize. The show's spokesperson stated that the welfare of the contestants is taken seriously, while Studio Lambert, the co-producer, has not commented yet. Express Solicitors claimed that the injuries occurred when the contestants were required to stay motionless in cold temperatures for hours during filming. The firm has sent letters of claim to Studio Lambert, accusing them of poor health and safety standards on set. The game involved players running to a line while a large doll sang and faced the wall. Those caught moving were eliminated, with slower players taking up to five hours to finish the game. Some contestants complained about the cold conditions, but a spokesperson for the show clarified that no lawsuit has been filed. The game was filmed in January at Cardington Studios in Bedford, and Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, stated that player welfare was a top priority.
