Comedian Russell Brand is facing a second police investigation following allegations made against him. Thames Valley Police disclosed that a woman had come forward with new information pertaining to claims of harassment and stalking. This comes after the Metropolitan Police confirmed that they had received multiple allegations of sexual offenses against Brand. The accusations, which include rape and sexual assaults, emerged during a joint inquiry by the Sunday Times, the Times, and Channel 4's Dispatches. While the woman had previously reported her claims to Thames Valley Police between 2018 and 2022, no further action had been taken. In 2017, Brand had also accused the same woman of harassment directed at him. Although the police force affirmed that they were examining the new information, they declined to comment on an ongoing investigation. The BBC has sought a response from Brand regarding these accusations. In response to previous allegations, the actor and comedian had refuted the "very serious criminal allegations" and vehemently denied any form of wrongdoing. The Dispatches program, titled Russell Brand - In Plain Sight, featured four women accusing Brand of sexual assaults that occurred from 2006 to 2013. During this period, Brand held various positions, including roles at Channel 4 and BBC Radio 2. The investigation, aired on 16 September, further alleged that he had engaged in inappropriate behavior at work, including making sexual comments and undressing. Prior to these accusations, the 48-year-old had claimed that all his relationships had always been consensual.
