Queen Camilla joined a prestigious group of British actors to celebrate the work of William Shakespeare. The event took place in London as part of the ongoing festivities commemorating 400 years since the Bard's first folio. The impressive line-up included renowned individuals such as Judi Dench, Vanessa Redgrave, and Penelope Keith. During the event, Dame Judi recited a Shakespearean sonnet, while other notable performers like Gary Oldman and Robert Lindsay also graced the stage. The Celebration of Shakespeare took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel and was hosted by Gyles Brandreth. On Valentine's Day, Dame Judi read Sonnet 116, a famous love poem by Shakespeare. Despite the King's recent treatment for cancer, the Queen is dedicated to fulfilling her royal responsibilities. In addition to the female actors, male actors such as Freddie Fox, Alex Jennings, Jeremy Irons, and others participated in the event. Notably, Brian Cox, known for his role as Logan Roy in the television series Succession, is also an experienced Shakespearean actor.
