A video showing Nigerians celebrating the victory of their football team in the Africa Cup of Nations over South Africa has become popular on social media. In the clip, Super Eagles fans can be seen pouring liquid over their bodies while singing a South African song. This comes after South African singer Tyla won Best African Music Performance at the Grammys, defeating Nigerian musicians. Disappointed Nigerians have vowed revenge at the Afcon semi-final and the hashtag #NGARSA is trending in both countries as they tease each other. The banter has also involved discussions about food and music, with Nigerians claiming that Afrobeats is superior to South Africa's amapiano genre. Popular Nigerian pastor Jimmy Odukoya has also joined in the joking by praising Bafana Bafana for their game, but telling the South African players that they need water, Grammy water to be exact. Nigeria will face Ivory Coast in the final, and most South Africans are expected to support Ivory Coast.
