Actor Nigel Harman has had to withdraw from Strictly Come Dancing after sustaining an injury just hours before the quarter final. Harman, known for his role in Casualty, was set to perform a Charleston with his professional partner Katya Jones. The BBC confirmed that Harman's injury prevented him from performing and it remains unclear if there will still be an elimination this week. The remaining celebrities in the competition are Ellie Leach, Annabel Croft, Layton Williams, and Bobby Brazier. The BBC spokesperson stated that the logistical details will be revealed on the show. Initially, there were reports of a leg injury, but the BBC clarified that it was actually a rib injury. Harman and Jones received a score of 33 points for their Rumba performance last week. Harman was scheduled to dance to Step in Time from Mary Poppins for the quarter final, which is themed "musicals week". The show's Instagram page wished him a speedy recovery and expressed how much he will be missed. Fans of the show took to social media to show their concern for Harman, with many expressing disappointment that he had to withdraw.
