A man has been charged by the Metropolitan Police with planning to disrupt the London Stock Exchange. Sean Middleborough, aged 31, from Liverpool, is due to appear in court for conspiracy to cause a public nuisance. Additionally, five others were arrested in London, Liverpool, and Brighton on Sunday. It is alleged that activists from the Palestine Action group intended to target the London Stock Exchange by obstructing its opening and causing damage to the building. The police suspect that this incident may be part of a larger planned week of action. This arrest was made following information shared by the Daily Express. Detective Superintendent Sian Thomas considers these arrests to be significant. The other individuals, including a woman from Brent, a man from Tower Hamlets, two women from Liverpool, and a man from Brighton, have been released on bail while further investigations are conducted.
