A man who was critically injured in an attack by two dogs has sadly passed away. The incident occurred outside Main Street in Stonnall, near Walsall, on Thursday afternoon. The victim was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham but unfortunately was pronounced dead by emergency services. A 30-year-old man from Lichfield has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs that were dangerously out of control. When the West Midlands ambulance service arrived at the scene, they found the man with multiple life-threatening injuries and in a critical condition. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, it was determined that nothing more could be done to save him, and he was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital. The attack took place at around 15:15 BST. Members of the public bravely tried to assist the victim and attempted to separate the dogs from him. As a precautionary measure, children at St Peter's Primary Academy, which is located nearby, were prevented from leaving for their safety. One of the dogs involved in the attack was contained outside, while the other was confined to its owner's flat. The police are still in the process of determining the breed of the dogs involved. A 63-year-old resident of the area, who also walks her dog there, witnessed the air ambulance landing in a local park. She expressed her shock and stated that the center of the village had been closed off for safety reasons. This tragic event has left the community shaken, as they all know each other and were unaware of the victim's identity before speaking to one another.
