Madonna is facing legal action from two fans who claim she was more than two hours late for a show in New York last month. The lawsuit alleges that the concert was meant to start at 8:30 pm EST on three different nights, but didn't begin until after 10:30 pm and ended around 1 am. The fans argue that they wouldn't have bought tickets if they had known about the late finish time. The plaintiffs are suing Live Nation, the concert promoter, and Barclays Center, the venue, for false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. The court documents cite Madonna's history of starting concerts late, including examples from previous tours. The fans are seeking unspecified damages. In 2019, another fan filed a lawsuit over a delay in a US show but later dropped the case. Madonna's Celebration tour, which commemorates the 40th anniversary of her breakout single, has been sold out and includes over 40 songs spanning her career. Last year, the singer had a health scare and postponed the tour due to a serious bacterial infection.
