A man named Dominic Martin has been arrested by police in India for his involvement in a series of explosions at a Jehovah's Witnesses meeting in the state of Kerala. The blasts occurred during a prayer session organized by the religious movement, resulting in three deaths and over 50 injuries. Martin was taken into custody under an anti-terror law after he posted a video claiming responsibility for the attacks and surrendered to the police. The first explosion took place in the middle of a hall, followed by two more explosions on either side. Two women died immediately, and a 12-year-old girl with severe burns passed away the following day. Martin, who had previously worked in Dubai, posted the video on Facebook expressing his anger towards the group's teachings. Although he claimed to be a former member, a spokesperson stated that he was not registered as a member. The police commissioner confirmed that Martin was cooperating with the investigation. The bombings caused shockwaves across the nation, leading to increased security measures in cities such as Delhi and Mumbai. The Jehovah's Witnesses movement, which has millions of followers worldwide and thousands in India, focuses on evangelism and believes that traditional Christian churches have deviated from biblical teachings.
