Jodie Foster, the Oscar-winning actor, has expressed her frustrations with working with Generation Z, saying they can be "really annoying." In an interview with the Guardian, Foster explained that she sometimes struggled to understand their attitudes towards work. She mentioned examples of them showing up late to work or lacking attention to detail in emails. However, Foster did praise one member of Gen Z, Bella Ramsey, calling her an example of an actor with a new level of authenticity. Having been a child star herself, Foster feels compelled to help young actors navigate their careers. She jokingly referred to Gen Z as "annoying," particularly in the workplace. Foster believes that young actors need to learn how to relax and not overthink their performances in order to find fun and authenticity in their work. She singled out Ramsey for her impressive speech at an Elle event and admired her choice to wear a suit and no makeup, something Foster herself would not have been able to do when she was young due to societal constraints. Foster also discussed her two sons and their evolving attitudes towards women, emphasizing the importance of breaking away from cultural stereotypes.
