Hamas has released a new video claiming to show the bodies of two Israeli hostages who they say died in air strikes on Gaza. This comes after Hamas released a video of the hostages when they were alive, but warned that they could be killed if Israel continued its bombardment. Israel has denied that the hostages were killed by strikes and accused Hamas of "psychological abuse". The video released on Monday shows a woman named Noa Argamani, who says that two men she was held with were killed in captivity. She claims they were killed by Israeli strikes and that they were buried under rubble. In response, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the hostages were not killed by Israeli forces and that the building where they were held was not a target. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that Hamas is resorting to psychological abuse of Israeli family members as they are severely beaten by Israeli forces. He also emphasized the importance of military pressure on Hamas. The video released by Hamas on Sunday showed Noa Argamani, along with the two men when they were alive, demanding the Israeli government to stop its offensive and secure their release. It is worth noting that there were 240 people taken by militants in a series of Hamas raids in southern Israel on October 7, including Noa Argamani, Itay Svirsky, and a third hostage mentioned in the videos. Around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were killed in these attacks, and 132 hostages are still being held in Gaza. The intense bombardment of Gaza by Israeli forces has resulted in the deaths of more than 23,000 people, according to Hamas-run health ministry. Palestinian officials state that 85% of Gaza's population has been displaced, while the UN's humanitarian chief describes the situation as "intolerable". Israeli forces continue to bomb targets in Gaza and clash with militants in various areas. Defense Minister Gallant has mentioned that the intensive phase of operations against Hamas in southern Gaza will soon come to an end.
