Inbar Haiman, a 27-year-old street artist and art student, was kidnapped by Hamas from the Supernova music festival in Israel on October 7th. She was later seen in a hostage video with blood on her face. Inbar is one of the 16 women still being held captive in Gaza, even after a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. The ceasefire allowed Hamas to release 110 hostages in exchange for 240 Palestinian prisoners. However, this has left the families of the remaining hostages with raised hopes that have been repeatedly dashed. Inbar's friends and family have been campaigning for her release using the hashtag #FreePink, in reference to her street artist name. In November, her boyfriend camped for 10 days outside the military headquarters in Tel Aviv, calling for more action from the Israeli government. Among the remaining hostages are at least 16 women and 95 men. One of the victims, Shani Louk, was killed after being kidnapped from the Supernova festival. Her body has not yet been recovered. Orión Hernández Radoux, Shani's boyfriend, also remains captive. Families of the hostages have found support in each other, as they wait for their loved ones to come home. They have used social media to share their feelings and support each other in their grief. Rachel, the mother of American hostage Hersh Goldberg-Polin, has been posting videos on social media, sharing her experiences and calling for her son's release. Hersh lost half of his arm in an explosion before being taken, and his last-known location was at the Gaza border. Rachel emphasizes the need to bring him home so that he can begin rebuilding his life.
