H&M has decided to pull an advertisement for school uniforms following allegations of sexualizing young children. The campaign featured two primary school-aged girls with the slogan: "Make those heads turn in H&M's Back to School fashion." The advertisement received backlash on social media, with critics condemning it as "vile" and "disgusting." The company has issued an apology and removed the ad, stating that they deeply regret the offense caused and will review their campaign strategies in the future. Justine Roberts, the founder and CEO of Mumsnet, expressed disappointment at the sexualization of young girls and highlighted the importance of their "Let Girls Be Girls" campaign, which calls on retailers not to sell products that exploit children's sexuality. Last year, another retailer, Temu, had an advert banned by the UK's advertising watchdog for sexualizing a child, along with four other advertisements that objectified women.
