Italian fashion designer David Renne has sadly passed away at the age of 46, just nine days after taking on the role of creative director at Moschino. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed, but Moschino's parent company, Aeffe, mentioned "a sudden illness" and stated that he died in Milan on Friday. Renne had an impressive career in the fashion industry, serving as the head of women's wear at Gucci for nearly two decades. Renne, who was born in Tuscany in 1977, studied fashion at the University of Florence and Polimoda fashion school. He began his career under the guidance of Italian designer Alessandro Dell'Acqua before joining Gucci in 2004. Renne's appointment as creative director at Moschino was announced in October, and he was set to showcase his first collection for the fashion brand in February at Milan Fashion Week. Renne had a deep appreciation for the creative process and expressed his belief that fashion, especially Italian fashion, should embrace joy and playfulness. Many influential figures in the fashion industry have shared their condolences on social media, emphasizing Renne's remarkable talent and kind nature.
