Greta Thunberg's public order charge has been dismissed by District Judge John Laws. The judge declared that the police had enforced "unlawful" conditions during the environmental protest in which the 21-year-old climate campaigner was arrested near the InterContinental Hotel in Mayfair on October 17th. Judge Laws emphasized that the imposed conditions were so unclear that they were deemed unlawful, suggesting that failing to comply with them was not an offense. Alongside two Fossil Free London protesters and two Greenpeace activists, Thunberg appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where they all pleaded not guilty to breaching section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986. The activists were accused of blocking the hotel's entrance, where oil executives were attending the Energy Intelligence Forum.
