The author of a soon-to-be-published book about the Royal Family, Omid Scobie, is urging the public to wait until the book is released before making judgments. Scobie claims that media reports about the book have taken quotations out of context and relied on inaccurate translations. The book, titled Endgame, describes a "fight for survival" within the Royal Household. Extracts from the book have been published in both US and French media, but Scobie argues that not all of the reported passages are accurate. Several UK newspapers recently reported on extracts from the book published in French magazine Paris Match. Scobie expressed frustration with the media, stating that they left readers with the impression that the book includes unrecognizable material from the original English manuscript. The reported passages included claims about letters exchanged between the Duchess of Sussex and the King, discussions between the Duke of Sussex and his father, and the relationship between Prince Harry and Prince William. Scobie has denied that the Duke and Duchess were direct sources for his work and emphasized that they had no involvement in his latest book. The Royal Family has been a source of inspiration for authors and television producers, with Prince Harry's memoir Spare remaining Amazon's best-selling book in 2023. Furthermore, speculation about Meghan publishing her own memoirs has been dismissed by sources close to the couple. The Sussexes are also involved in producing their own content through their production company, Archewell.
