E Jean Carroll, who won an $83.3m defamation case against former US President Donald Trump, has revealed her plans to spend the money on things that he dislikes. Carroll said she was initially terrified to face Trump in court but felt relieved once she saw him. A judge had previously ruled that Trump had defamed Carroll by calling her sexual assault allegation against him a lie. Although Trump plans to appeal the ruling, Carroll stated her intention to use the money to support causes that he despises. She suggested creating a fund for women who have been sexually assaulted by Trump, as numerous women have come forward with accusations against him. Carroll expressed her relief at the decision and stated that she burst into tears when some of the jurors smiled at her after the verdict was announced. Trump will have to take steps to pay the awarded amount, such as securing a bond or depositing the money with the court. Carroll's lawyer believes he will eventually pay, but if he fails to do so, she can begin collecting the money right away.
