After 24 years, the acclaimed comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm, created and starring Larry David, is coming to a close. Warner Brothers-Discovery, the owner of HBO, announced that the upcoming 12th season will be the show's final season. Curb Your Enthusiasm, which first premiered in 2000, follows a fictionalized version of Larry David's life and is HBO's longest-running scripted comedy series. Notable comedians such as Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman have made appearances on the show, and they will be returning for the last season to reprise their roles. The final season will consist of 10 episodes, starting on February 4th and streaming on Max, with new episodes airing on Sundays at 22:00 EST until the series finale on April 7th. Curb Your Enthusiasm debuted to critical acclaim, receiving 51 Emmy nominations and two wins, as well as five Golden Globe nominations and one win. Larry David, also known as the co-creator of Seinfeld alongside Jerry Seinfeld, served as the head writer and executive producer for the sitcom's first seven seasons. In a statement, David expressed his excitement about shedding his "Larry David" persona and returning to his true self. After a six-year hiatus between the eighth and ninth seasons, it seems that this time the end truly marks the conclusion of the series. David amusingly bid farewell to his misanthropic character and mentioned that those interested in reaching out to him could do so via Doctors Without Borders. Despite the show's hiatus, David has remained in the American spotlight, even parodying Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live.
