This year's Coachella festival has announced its headliners, including Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator, and Lana Del Rey. The festival will take place in Indio, California, over two weekends in April. Other artists on the line-up include Skepta, Raye, Flo, and the BBC Sound of 2024 winners, The Last Dinner Party. Coachella is famous not only for its music but also for attracting influencers. One of the most anticipated performances will be from Gwen Stefani's No Doubt, marking their return after almost ten years. The band posted on Instagram that they are excited to see fans "in the desert." Additionally, Girlband Flo expressed their enthusiasm with a tweet saying, "FLOCHELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA," and The Last Dinner Party stated, "United States, we just can't keep our paws off you." The festival will also feature sets from Canadian Punjabi artists AP Dhillon, rapper Nav, and Indian Carnatic musician Sid Sriram. Following Diljit Dosanjh's successful performance as the first Punjabi artist at Coachella last year, the festival has received praise for its South Asian representation. DJ Yusuf Suavé, who aims to promote South Asians in the industry, views AP Dhillon's inclusion on the line-up as a significant achievement that he rightfully deserves. However, he emphasizes the need for more diverse artists on festival line-ups, both in the UK and abroad. Last year's Coachella faced challenges with its headliners; Frank Ocean pulled out of headlining the second weekend, citing a leg injury, and was replaced by Blink-182. This year, Lana Del Rey will headline the Friday slots, Tyler, The Creator on Saturdays, and Doja Cat on Sundays. Coachella is scheduled to take place on April 12-14 and April 19-21.
