Britney Spears has responded to rumors of her return to the music industry by stating that she will never go back. Recent reports in the US media suggested that the pop star was preparing for her 10th studio album and had reached out to songwriters for collaborations. However, Spears took to Instagram to dismiss these claims, calling them "trash" and declaring that she has no intention of returning to music. She clarified that she only writes music for fun and revealed that she has written over 20 songs for other artists in the past two years. The singer, known for hits like "Baby One More Time" and "Toxic," also mentioned that she enjoys being a ghostwriter. In 2022, Spears released her first music since being released from a conservatorship that controlled her life, collaborating with Sir Elton John on the duet "Hold Me Closer." Despite fans' eagerness for her comeback, she has now unequivocally ruled out a return to the music industry. Spears has previously shared her hesitation about returning to the industry and in her memoir, "The Woman in Me," she spoke about her experiences living under a conservatorship and revealed personal details, including a medical abortion she had when she was dating Justin Timberlake. She emphasized that her focus is currently not on her music career, but on finding herself.
